Furukawa Rock Drill USA, Inc. (Ohio, USA, hereinafter referred to as FRD USA) has established a new service and logistics base in Nevada, USA.

About our service and logistics base in Nevada, USA

FRD USA, headquartered in Ohio, USA, sells hydraulic breakers, blast hole drills, and other products to North and Central America, and provides lifecycle support for parts supply and the hydraulic breaker rebuilt business (Encore®). Demand is expected to remain strong due to economic stimulus measures and infrastructure investments in North America, and in order to strengthen sales to crushing companies in the western region, we have recently established a new service and logistics center in Reno, Nevada, USA. Until now, products exported from Japan were supplied to each region from the East Coast of the United States via FRD USA's headquarters in Ohio, which resulted in long delivery times and costs for customers in the western region. However, the establishment of this new base will enable supplies from the West Coast as well. As a result, we will be able to reduce transportation times and costs to customers in the western region, improve our price competitiveness, and strengthen our sales, while also developing a direct sales business for blast hole drills as a new business venture.

Additionally, the new facility will expand the hydraulic breaker rebuilt business (Encore®) and establish a system for immediate delivery through parts stock, thereby strengthening the lifecycle support business in the region.

FRDUSA will contribute to infrastructure development in the western region by expanding sales and strengthening support to customers in the region.
